Clothes-lines, the universal and the unique
Traveling across the world I saw clothes-lines, different everywhere and yet the same. Just like the people themselves, they live in cities or in the countryside, in the mountains or in the lowlands, on the water or on the plains, where it is dry and where it is wet. They have washed their clothes, the coloured and the black and white, the printed and the unpatterned, the new and the worn out. Looking for sun and wind, they attach their lines to anything and everything. And as soon as evening falls, people go and get their laundry inside, all over the world.
